Customer Testimonial: Total Tillage Contracting
“The job the Discordon has done has been most impressive and we’ve had great support from Waringa Distribution. It leaves a better soil bed leading into seeding programs, can handle all soil types, and gives us a tidy finish every time. It’s more versatile than anything we’ve used before.”
John Davis, of Total Tillage Contracting & Hire, has taken delivery of a Gregoire Besson Discordon One-Pass Finisher to meet growing demand for soil amelioration work across the WA Wheatbelt.
Based in York, WA, John operates a busy contracting service covering approximately 5000 hectares over 12 months. His business services growers from sandy soils near Dandaragan to heavier country in the eastern wheatbelt—many of which are non-wetting and require lime incorporation.
John says the Discordon’s independent tine and disc system allows for depth adjustments on-the-go, giving him flexibility for shallow stubble ploughing to deeper subsoiling. With two rows each of independent tines and discs, plus a crumble packer, the machine effectively rips, mixes, and reconsolidates—all in a single pass.

The Discordon’s performance, ease of use, and support from Waringa Distribution have been standout features for John.
Out of the 5000 hectares we’ve done, we’ve only had one complaint—it’s a machine that just works. We even ran it through night shifts in the middle of summer because the demand was so strong.
