Geringhoff Header Front Demonstrations, VIC & NSW
“There are no waves in the cut, the operation is very smooth, and we can go at fast speeds due to the good cutting speed – around 2km/h faster.”
– Benji Schulze, Deberi Contract Harvesting
Following a series of demos across eastern Australia, Geringhoff’s latest header front range has turned heads for its flexibility, cutting performance, and reduction in harvest losses.
From Coonamble, NSW, to the Mallee region in VIC, growers and contractors trialled Geringhoff’s TruFlex Razor and TruFlex models, with standout feedback on the fronts’ responsiveness, build quality, and ability to adapt to challenging Australian harvest conditions.
Matt Elliott, a fourth-generation grower and agronomist based in Nandaly, VIC, was impressed by the ground-following performance while harvesting cereals and lentils.
Trialled by:
Matt Elliott, Nandaly VIC – 3000ha cropping program (wheat, barley, lentils, oaten hay)
Deberi Contract Harvesting, QLD – Custom harvesting with five JD headers across eastern Australia
Features
TruFlex Razor with three-section frame and optional flexible cutterbar
Fully integrated air system to reduce harvest loss
Up to 760mm frame flex + 150mm cutterbar flex for almost 1m of adjustment
Separate PTO and oil system for smooth, fast cutting
Proven performance in cereals, pulses, and low-biomass crops
Built for harsh Australian conditions
Benji and Matt’s feedback reflects Geringhoff’s commitment to producing high-performance, adaptable header fronts that meet the demands of modern Australian harvesting operations.
It’s pretty undulating country and you could definitely see the Geringhoff front moving – it’s so much more responsive.” “The air system was very impressive, even with the reel set back about 150mm from the cutterbar.

Benji Schulze, Manager of Deberi Contract Harvesting in Emerald, QLD, tested the front in chickpeas and wheat and noted a potential 8% reduction in grain losses, thanks to the integrated air system that guides crop efficiently onto the belts.
“The air blows from behind the knife, so grain is not rolling off.”
“It reacts to ground contour changes quickly and the finished cut behind the header is excellent.”
