Customer Testimonial: Equalizer Min-Till Tine Seeder
“With its narrow transport width, accurate depth control, and sturdy build, the Equalizer seeder has exceeded our expectations in every way.”
Switching to the South African-manufactured Equalizer min-till tine seeder has proven a game-changer for Victorian grain growers Greg and Elise Brown, who crop across properties in the Mallee and Goulburn Valley.
Managing a continuous cropping program across 3800 hectares, the Browns were looking for a heavy-duty, wide bar with a narrow transport width that could withstand tough conditions and variable soil types. After exploring multiple options, the Equalizer, distributed by Waringa Distribution, ticked all their boxes.

Greg Brown
Initially attracted to the narrow transport width for safer road travel between their properties, the Browns were equally impressed with the machine’s robust construction, depth accuracy, and easy-to-use adjustment systems.
“The Equalizer is a simple, strong, sturdy machine, and that’s what we wanted,” Greg said.
The family particularly values the consistency of dry sowing and found the Equalizer’s seeding performance reliable across their range of soil types—from well-structured loams to more challenging areas.
They run the Equalizer in tandem with a 12.5-tonne triple-bin John Deere air cart, towed by a 470hp John Deere 9470R, and say the rig handles everything with ease.
We wanted a machine similar to what we had but with better transport benefits. The Equalizer has delivered that and more.
With local interest growing and more units being delivered across the region, the Equalizer is fast becoming a popular choice for performance-driven Australian growers.
