Andrew Caldwell at Felton Pastoral Farms recently took ownership of a new Agri-Spread AS2150T-SC spreader this season.
Felton Pastoral Farms, located between Moora and New Norcia in WA, is mostly a cropping enterprise farming wheat, canola, and barley on 25,000 acres. Andrew says that it’s been a great season so far and he has been able to spread potash up to 36m with the new AS2150.
A spreading program has been in place at the farm for many years, and Andrew explained that although they had been using a contractor for quite some time, they decided to go back to owning a spreader themselves. Andrew said that Agri-Spread was chosen for its ease of use, capacity, and precision technology.

With the spreader’s ease of use, you could have anyone driving it! The ISOBUS screen is also very easy to navigate. And having the larger spreader, we are achieving more in the day, so our productivity has improved.

The AS2150T-SC is a tandem axle spreader which sits on a 3m axle with steerable rear axle, with a capacity of 15m3 capable of carrying up to 17T of fertiliser. It is also fitted with the Sectional Control (SC) factory option which minimises overlap for more precise distribution of product. Using two hydraulically controlled conveyors, the operator can change the spreading rate on either side of the machine in relation to the width and rate required, or even completely shut off one side.
Andrew said that Sectional Control was a key feature in his decision to purchase an Agri-Spread spreader.
I’ve found the spreader to be very good accuracy wise to achieve an accurate and even spread of product, and I would absolutely recommend the Sectional Control feature! It pays for itself very quickly with the cost savings of using less fertiliser. Also with the VR capability, we are putting the fertiliser on where it’s most needed and getting the best return from the product. It is a great tool.
Andrew also added the start-up and service support has been great and would highly recommend the Agri-Spread to other farmers. “Start up and support has been brilliant. All questions are answered honestly, and the team is always there to give us a hand with different fertiliser setups. Would definitely recommend to other farmers.”

The highly sought-after Elmer’s Haulmaster Chaser Bin takes unloading efficiency, capacity, and simplicity to the next level.
“For our expanding operation the capacity is a big plus. Also, the tandem sprung axles with rear steering axle is great in rougher paddocks and does not chew up the paddock on tight corners. It is a well built and finished machine.”
